In August 2014 I moved to the firm’s Criminal department at Peterlee. My role included representation at the police station for all clients, the handling of bail matters from the Peterlee and surrounding areas and attendance at Crown Court’s around the region with clients. I am also part of our 24 hour Police Station on call team and I contribute most weekends to assisting clients in the police station out of hours. I graduated from Northumbria University in 2016 with a Commendation for my Legal Practice Course.
In August 2016 I secured a training contract with the firm. I will be a trainee solicitor for 18 months and in that time also return to Northumbria University to complete the Professional Skills Course. At present I am working within the Peterlee criminal department as before but with additional responsibility which includes management of Crown Court files. I also am working in our Frederick Street office assisting in our child care proceedings department. This includes representing clients at PLO meeting and court hearings around the region.
Outside of work my interests include visiting the gym (maybe a little too much), visiting the cinema or theatre and weekends away with friends.
