Julie joined the firm in 1994 as a trainee solicitor, after numerous bouts of work experience with the firm while she was at school. She qualified as a solicitor in 1996 and became a partner in 2005 having realised that she couldn’t break free (and why would she want to?)!
Julie has spent much of her professional life dealing with civil litigation including general and commercial litigation, clinical negligence and personal injury claims.
She is now the firm’s Managing Director, and is passionate about the health and well-being of the business, its staff and clients, believing that happy working relationships will shine through in the quality of our service.
Outside of work, Julie loves to spend time with her husband and three children. She is an active member of her local church community in Middleton St George, near Darlington, a keen singer, cook and budding blogger. She ran the Great North Run in aid of Grace House (North East) Children’s Hospice in 2012, and attempted to conquer her fear of heights by abseiling for charity in 2013 (it didn’t work….the fear is still there!)
