Julie joined the firm in 1994 as a trainee solicitor, after numerous bouts of work experience with the firm while she was at school. She qualified as a solicitor in 1996 and became a partner in 2005 having realised that she couldn’t break free (and why would she want to?)!
Julie has spent much of her professional life dealing with civil litigation including general and commercial litigation, clinical negligence and personal injury claims.
She is now the firm’s Managing Director, and is passionate about the health and well-being of the business, its staff and clients, believing that happy working relationships will shine through in the quality of our service.
Outside of work, Julie loves to spend time with her husband and three children, with board games being something of a family passion. The rumours that Julie has been known to flip the Monopoly board in frustration are neither confirmed nor denied. She plays an active part in her local community in Middleton St George, near Darlington, being a Trustee of her local community association and a committed member of her local church and most of her spare time is taken up with voluntary activities with these organisations. When she does have a spare moment or two, she loves to sing, cook (and eat!) and write.
