At DMA Law, our amazing staff are constantly doing brilliant things to raise money for charities across the region and nationally.
The fundraising rarely stops at DMA, but we have had a particularly strong summer of charity activities, either as a whole firm or individually.
Here’s a quick roundup of some of the most recent charitable successes – and we’ll use this blog to keep you updated of further activity throughout the year.
As always, thanks to everyone who takes part and contributes – and if you ever have any ideas for charity activities, feel free to shout up!
Tough Mudder for the Denise Taylor Cancer Trust
First up is Jessica Boarder, who has kindly supplied these incredible pictures of her participation in a recent Tough Mudder event.
Jessica, from our Hartlepool office, raised £940 for the Denise Taylor Cancer Trust, which was set up in 2009 to support cancer sufferers and their families by offering non-repayable grants, easing the difficult and unavoidable costs that are associated with the disease, including travel, utilities, transport and childcare.
Great North Run for Cancer Research
Charlotte Perkins, from our Darlington office, recently raised £300 for Cancer Research by taking part in the Great North Run. Charlotte also ran an amazing time of 01:41:49 – well done Charlotte!
Colour Run for Hartlepool Hospice
Lindsey Small – and one of her daughters – and Rachel Bland took part in the colour run for Hartlepool Hospice, raising £117, in August. Fantastic picture – looks like it was great fun!
Memory Walk for Alzheimer’s

Adrian Morris and the Rockaholics
As you may be aware, our partner in Hartlepool, Adrian Morris, is part of a group called the Rockaholics, who have been singing and performing at charity events for years now. Charities that the Rockaholics have helped include: Hartlepool Hospice, MacMillan Nurses, Families First, as well as a local Catholic club that supports disabled people.
