DMA Law always likes to help those charities that operate in our local communities and beyond, and 2019 was no different. We want to explain a bit more about every charity and bring awareness to the causes they support. Here are some of the charities that benefited from DMA Law’s campaigns in 2019:

BBC Children in Need

The BBC Children in Need charity provides grants to projects in the UK which focus on children and young people who are facing a range of disadvantages such as poverty, neglect, abuse or deprivation.

DMA Law Link organised a cyclathon in November in aid of Children in Need. The DMA Law Darlington team cycled 245 miles from Darlington to London.

MacMillan Cancer Support

MacMillan cancer support helps people with cancer live their life as fully as they can, by providing physical, financial and emotional support.  In September, with the help of the Chester le Street Cricket Club, we were able to organise a coffee morning meet up to give free advice and set up a hamper raffle.

For more information, support or just someone to talk to you can call their Support Line free on 0808 808 00 00 (8 am-8 pm, 7 days a week).

Together 21

Together 21 supports children and young people with Down Syndrome, and their families, in the Durham and Teesside area, offering a wide range of fun learning activities to help them to develop key skills.

DMA Law supported World Down Syndrome Day on Thursday 21st of March and raised a staggering amount of £1500. The DMA Law Link held a bake sale and raffled off a tailor-made hamper across the firm, members of the staff and local shops and businesses.

All our staff members wore colourful, non-matching socks to help raise awareness.

In addition to our charity campaigns we organise local food and toy banks every December and hamper donations to the  Cheerleading Showcase “York Hornets”, Together 21, Mind & Calm, to the Aquanatal Midwife fundraiser, Macmillan Cancer Support, the Soroptimists charity and St Cuthbert’s Hospice,  Cancer Research, Hartlepool Junior Cricket Club, Learning for Life and Little Treasures.

Our hampers are individually made and tailored to whoever they are being donated to, from a sweetie hamper to Mexican dining and afternoon tea hampers.
